Washington County May 2026 Election Information
Voting in local county and city races is the heartbeat of democracy.
There is a May 19, 2026 election. Voters of Washington County will vote on local races, levies and bond.
For Voters:
4/3 Ballots mailed to overseas and military voters
4/20 Ballots mailed to out-of-state voters
4/28 Last day to register to vote.
*Registration cards postmarked by this date or submitted online no later than 11:59pm are valid
4/29 First day to mail ballots to voters
5/14 Last day absentee or replacement ballots are required to be mailed to voters
5/19 Ballots must be mailed with a valid postmark on Election Day
*Ballots deposited in an official drop box must be received by 8pm on election day

3/3 County filing deadline for elected incumbent candidates for this election
3/4 Date of Special Endorsements Meeting for candidates to make statements and to be formally endorsed by voting members of the Party
3/10 County filing deadline for non-incumbent (new) and appointed incumbent candidates for County and Special District positions for this election.
3/12 Voters’ Pamphlet statement deadline

Voters’ Pamphlet will arrive in your mailbox in early by April
BE SURE TO SIGN YOUR BALLOT!
You must sign your ballot, and the signature must match the one on your registration. Your ballot will be invalidated for lack of signature.
Check your mail for ~2 weeks after the election to make sure you didn’t get a ballot invalidation notice. If you receive a notice, get in touch with the elections office right away to try to get your vote counted.
