¡Bienvenidos al Latino/a/x Outreach Caucus!  Buscamos representar todas aquellas personas de descendencia Latinoamericana quienes comparten los valores del Partido Demócrata. Aliados y amigos están invitados a participar en mejorar los derechos, la equidad, y la inclusión de nuestra comunidad aquí en el condado de Washington y en el estado de Oregon.

La población Latinoamericana es el grupo étnico diverso más grande en el condado de Washington. ¡Hagámonos escuchar!

Lo que nos Interesa:

✅ aumentar el número de votantes latinos
✅ justicia económica
✅ justicia social
✅ protección del estado santuario para personas indocumentadas
✅ cobertura universal para servicios médicos
✅ educación
✅ derechos de trabajadores agrícolas
✅ derechos de inmigrantes

Nuestros Objetivos:

Tenemos muchos intereses pero queremos enfocarnos en lo siguiente:
1. Registrar y hablar con votantes sobre candidatos Demócratas quienes apoyan nuestras causa.
2. Fortalecer nuestras conexiones en la comunidad y formar enlaces con otras organizaciones comunitarias.
3. Apoyar proyectos de ley en la legislatura que mejoren nuestros derechos, equidad, e inclusión.
4. Promulgar y llamar atención a temas que afectan nuestra comunidad con el Partido Demócrata estatal y nacional.
5. Crear y promulgar recursos educativos o entrenamientos para ayudar a la comunidad latino/a/x a entender mejor a nuestro gobierno local.

Welcome to the Latino/a/x Outreach Caucus! Our caucus is meant to represent all people of Latino/a, Latinx, Meso-American, and South American descent who share the values of the Democratic Party. All friends and allies are invited to join us to enhance the rights, equity, and inclusion of our community here in Washington County and Oregon.

The Latino/a/x and Hispanic population in Washington County is the largest diverse ethnic group in the county. Let’s make sure our voice is heard!

What we care about

✅ Farm worker rights
✅ Immigration rights

What we want to accomplish

Our caucus wishes to focus on many things, but we pay special attention to:

1. Voter registration and canvassing for Democratic candidates who support our agenda.
2. Enhancing our connections in the community and building bridges with other community organizations.
3. Advocating for bills in the legislature that will enhance our rights, equity, and inclusion.
4. Promoting and bringing attention to issues affecting our community to the wider Democratic Party
5. Creating and promoting educational tools/classes that will assist local Latino/a, Latinx, Meso-American, and South American community members to better understand our local government.
