Washington County 2020 Election Information

May 19th is an Election Day!

Voting in your local county races is the heartbeat of democracy.

The May 19th Election is when you vote for your state and federal Democratic representatives to go on to the November General Election.

2020 Washington County Local Elections Schedule:

04/04/20    Ballots mailed to overseas and military voters

04/20/20    Ballots mailed to out-of-state voters

04/28/20    Last day to register to vote

04/29/20    First day to mail ballots

05/14/20    Last day to mail absentee/replacement ballots

05/19/20    Election Day. Ballots must be at the Elections Office or at a ballot drop site by 8 PM

06/08/20    Certification of election results


You must sign your ballot, and the signature must match the one on your registration. Your ballot will be invalidated for lack of signature.
Check your mail for ~2 weeks after the election to make sure you didn’t get a ballot invalidation notice. If you receive a notice, get in touch with the elections office right away to try to get your vote counted.
