The Communications Committee
Learn about the Communications Committee
What We Do
The Communications Committee delivers the communications of the Washington County Democrats to the public. This committee creates and publishes our website content, social media content, email newsletters, and press releases. The Washington County Democrats is a very mature local political organization and works on a variety of calls-to-actions and events. It is the role of Communications to make sure this work is known, promoted, and accessible.
You will have the opportunity to engage in the process of promoting local Democrats during election seasons. Conducting interviews and helping to spread the word to get out the vote.
Who We Are
This committee sees itself as a team. We meet monthly, but we work together via project management software tools, so we are engaged with one another regularly on our various projects. The team will write articles on Democrat events, local government events, as well as informative articles on what Democrats stand for.
We are the promotional arm of the party, so we work on getting the word out for outreach initiatives, events, and party business.
