Dobbs Day of Rage Friday, June 21st!

Dobbs Day Rage June 21st 6:30-8:30 pm Hillsboro Brookwood Library

Join us for the Dobbs decision anniversary at the Hillsboro Brookwood Library on June 21st, 2024!

In June of 2022, the Supreme Court issued the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision, reversing Roe v. Wade and scrapping decades of reproductive rights precedent. Conservative Supreme Court justices made it clear that they don’t believe women and other pregnant persons are worthy of agency and self-determination, and since then, GOP politicians have continued telling us that they believe they know what is best for our lives and our futures. The Dobbs decision has led to multiple draconian abortion bans across the country, a court ruling which halted IVF treatment in Alabama, and attempts to outlaw abortion medication.

If you are like us, then you never stopped being angry about the Dobbs decision. You may be feeling infuriated, powerless, fearful about what else the right wing may do to bring us closer to their vision of an American theocracy.

And you can bring all those feelings with you to our Dobbs Day of Rage event. We are taking a moment to mourn the Dobbs decision, hold space for our rage and our grief for those who have been affected by abortion bans, and then to talk about how we can be engaged and take action to make sure reproductive health care remains available to all who need it, both in Oregon and the rest of the country.

Our program includes speakers, personal abortion stories, and plenty of room for Q&A and self-expression.  Join us for light refreshments…and righteous rage!

When: Friday, June 21st, 6:30–8:30 pm

Where: Hillsboro Brookwood Library, 2850 NE Brookwood Pkwy
