Legislative Session Update

Welcome to 2023, Washington County Democrats! As you are starting a new year, so are House Speaker Dan Rayfield and Senate President Rob Wagner for the upcoming legislative session. A few days ago they released their appointments to the various legislative committees. I thought would update you on what committees our Washington County delegation will be serving on in the next session.
Here is the list of all the bills heading for a first reading on January 9th. From there the Speaker and the Senate President will assign them to a committee. As you participate and lobby for the issues that matter to you in 2023 seek out the advice of those serving on the committees that your bill may be assigned during the session. OLIS (Oregon Legislative Information System) is your best resource to everything that happens during session. It will have all the info about committee meetings and you can watch sessions of the House and Senate from home.
