Washington County Criminal Justice Forum (10/30)

The Young Dems Committee has organized a speaker panel to discuss criminal justice reform.
We have invited these community members of different backgrounds and perspectives to share their experiences with a particular aspect of the criminal justice system. Featuring voices from academia, the legal system, and municipal government, we hope that this will
1.) provide a more comprehensive view of criminal justice in Washington County;
2.) help demystify what for many can seem to be an opaque and intimidating system; and
3.) inspire people to get involved themselves and make our community a more fair and just place for all.”
Guest Panel:
- Prof. Paul Snell of Pacific University
- Brian Decker, Washington County Justice Initiative
- Cameron Green, member of the Beaverton Human Rights Advisory Commission
- Joyce Stevens, member of the Beaverton Human Rights Advisory Commission
Come and join the Washington County Democrats and our community partners as we discuss and strategize around what a more equitable county looks like. Join community leaders from the academic and nonprofit realm in a series of lightning talks and a panel!
