The Secretary of State is a key constitutional officer responsible for overseeing elections, auditing state government functions, managing the state archives, and registering businesses. The Secretary of State is the only statewide elected office currently held by a Republican, so Democratic Party members are very interested in nominating a qualified candidate who will win back the office for our values of transparency and efficient government as we enter a census year.
The three candidates for Secretary of State will speak at our online forum moderated by award-winning journalist David Sarasohn.
State Senator Mark Hass, Jamie McLeod-Skinner, and Senator Shemia Fagan will share their visions for how their leadership will benefit all Oregonians.
